UK Born Baby Birth Registration and First Passport

Hi Friends,

I am checking details on birth registration and first indian passport formalities. Though information are available on websites but it would be better if i know from someone who has done that recently can suggest sequence of events.

Information available on this site is quite old, and one thing i notice is that passport document collection has been given to VFS which was earlier being managed by Indian High Commission.

I am on ICT 2 and holding indian passport.
