<Urgent> ICT Tier 2 ICT Visa Extension - Nervous wreck

Hello,
I have been waiting for the passport and BRP very nervously. I have to travel to India in another 10 days due to a personal commitment which cannot be avoided. I am in a nervous wreck of when I will receive the documents. Please kindly can some one help me out to figure the following things.
1. A way to contact Home office to know the status.
2. Is there a process to speed up the process so as to get documents within a week.
3. If things cannot be done in 10 days time, can we ask Home office to return the passport with out extension.
Visa Type: Tier 2 ICT extension
Application Submitted Date - 27/05/2016
Bio-metric enrolment date - 17/06/2016
