Permanent residency for EEA citizen, no CSI and lost yellow card

Post by carladhora » Wed Jul 20, 2016 4:55 pm

Hi everyone,

I am in a similar situation as most of you described and I could not find the information I needed elsewhere. I am an EEA citizen and moved to UK in 2010 as a student, worked for a year and then started my second degree (still have one more year). I did not and do not have CSI or other insurance since I came here as I was not aware of this as many others, but I have received my 'student' Yellow Card in May 2011. My problem is that I have lost it and I am not sure how to replace it or prove that I had it (would a copy pass as evidence?). Thank you!

To avoid confusion & jumbled responses, I have moved your question to its own thread (this one).

As per PR form and guidance, original documents are (normally) required.
Unless otherwise stated, please send original documents only. Photocopies are not acceptable. If you’re unable to send the original, please explain why. We’re unlikely to be able to approve your application without sight of the original document.
You could request a SAR from UKVI to see if it shows up there.
