General visit visa from Ireland

Hey guys. Have a query regarding uk visa application from Ireland.
My wife and daughter applied for uk visit visa a few days ago. Their GNIB expires in 3 years. We had completely forgotten about reentry visa to Ireland. We plan to apply for it the day before travel to the UK. Would this be a ground for refusal by ukba?
Just today a friend asked if they have reentry visa and suddenly my life started to flash before my eyes. Will appreciate you guys input.

Just an update. My wife and daughter's visas were granted. Guess re-entry visa back to Ireland is not a mandatory requirement.
