Parent Long term visit visa

Post by hardrocker » Mon Jul 25, 2016 10:13 am

Hi all

I am applying for my parents long term visit visa (10 years) for UK from Pakistan. I have the supporting docuemnts for financial support. My father has a property in his name in which he lives and has couple of other properties as well. He gets pension and rent from one property. I also sometimes send them money every now and then. They used to come to UK every other year until 2011 on a six month visit visa but lately they have been visiting my sister in USA every year and I go and visit them either in Pakistan or in USA. I am British and my and my wife are expecting a child therefore my parents want to come and visit us for a month or so preferrably every year to meet their grand child. I have the financial means to support them and have enough room in my house to accomodate them. They do not want to live here permanently as they love their home country and also hate the weather in UK. My point is that is this enough information to satisfy home office to get a long term visit visa. I do not want to keep applying for them every other year for a 6 month visa . Any advise?

A similar discussion in relation to long validity visit visas that you may find useful. Key factors to show are as many strong ties to their home country and frequent travel history to the UK.
