Travelling before receiving BRP

I just successfully applied for a Tier 2 (General) visa at a PEO and currently awaiting for my BRP to arrive. However, I have already booked tickets to travel in 2 days time. I'm from a non-visa country, and will be returning home for about a month before coming back to UK, so I'm thinking of having my friend post the BRP to me. The BRP will be sent to my prospective office and they will be couriering it to my friend, though I did not tell them that she will be receiving it on my behalf. Thereafter, she'll be couriering it to me.

Any thoughts on this?

I'm still worried about leaving the country before getting my BRP, so if anybody who has gone through this situation recently please do let me know how it went! Thank you!
