PR application questions

Post by Connie86 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 2:20 pm

Hello,

Now that I am compiling the application I have a few questions:

1) I am Italian and I have arrived in February 2011 and I have worked since then so I am documenting my years from February 2011 to February 2016. In the countries visited section should I write my travels up to February 2016, right?

2) Since I have been only working during these 5 years, in section 9.1 Summary of the relevant EEA national's activity, what should I write in the To (date) column? February 2016 or the date of the application?

3) I have held different jobs so it ok if in the second row of 9.2 I write please see attached list?

4) In 17.9, about my country of birth, is it ok to write "Family and friends live there"? Also, when they ask about any country where you have lived for more than 5 years are they asking about UK or if I have lived in another country?

Thanks,

Connie

1) Yes list all your absences from the UK between February 2011 to present day. Don't worry about if you don't know the EXACT dates for trips 5 years ago for example, they just want to make sure you haven't broken your continuity of residence (and lost PR). If you don't know exact dates, write in the additional information page explaining.

2) If you are still in your latest job, just write "present" in the 'to' box.

3) Yes

4) You don't even need to complete those parts, so you can leave them out if you want.

Thanks for your reply. About the last question, I think I have to compile it. I have to compile these sections: 5-9-16-17-18-19.

That's just what UKVI wants you to complete. Under EU law you don't actually have to provide most of what they are asking for (for example the public funds section)!

Have a read of the caseworker guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... s_v3_0.pdf

- specifically pages 18, 19 and 20.

Also note how it states:
An EEA(PR) form can be used to submit an application. However, you must not refuse or
reject an application because it is not on the right form. A letter requesting a document
certifying permanent residence or permanent residence card, or an application made on one
of the previous forms (EEA3 or EEA4), is acceptable
as long as:
 the correct fee is submitted with the application
 the applicant gives their biometric information if they are a non-EEA national applying
on or after 6 April 2015
So on that note, here is a much simpler form you can use to apply (made by members of this forum): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/128 ... ple_v2.pdf

At least one member has used it and been successful.

Good luck :)
