What qualifies as CSI?

Post by gtht » Thu Jul 28, 2016 5:40 pm

We've had Bupa for over 6 years now including the time my wife took time off from work to raise the kids. I don't recall anything special about the coverage. We still had to see the local GP. Does this qualify as CSI?

thanks.

What's the purpose of the policy and what does it cover (briefly)?

I assumed it covered everything outside of the GP. It covered the entire family (myself, wife, and 2 kids). The policy document is not detailed as it just says we have the "Heartbeat" plan which a quick internet search describes as menu driven private medical insurance. Just glancing from the loads of coverage I see the following:

"Complex major operation fees: Theatre fees: full cover for BUPA participating hospitals according to scale C.

If performed by a BUPA partnership consultant then fees will be paid in full..."

Loads of other stuff is there about consultants and therapies. Hope this helps.
