I have been on my partners ancestral visa for 3 half years- got a good job and all was good until a few months back- he has developed a menatl illness for which he is getting treated but the realtionship has deterioated to such an abusive one I cannot continue with it- I have been recommended by his dr to get out as he is physical abusive and could do me harm with his menatl problem. I have come to the UK with him- supported him until now but my life is at jeopardy. Will I have to return to my home country-SA. I gave up everything and started a new life with him but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control the relationship can not continue- believe me I have been supportive for a very long time but even the DR's have said I need to get out.
Is there any possibility of me staying- I have a good job, been working the entire time-pay tax etc- any advice
