Tier 2 General - unrestricted COS request

Hello,

We are currently in the process of requesting a unrestricted COS for one of our employee. His visa is due to expire in March 2017 and hence we will need to assign him a certificate.

While going through SMS system I see there are two options :


1. Request Additional COS  In here I do not see any option to add the COS request. Why do I not have an option to request additional COS here ?


2. Request Renewal Of Annual Allocation  In here I see an option to add request. Could you please advise on how long will it take for the COS to be issued ?

If under "Request additional CoS or CAS" you don't see "Add a request" it means that you don't have allocations for the current year. In this case request renewal of annual allocation. This usually takes about 2 weeks to process. Once you get the allocation remember not to assign the CoS too early because it must be used within 3 months.
