evidence of employment and PR

Post by hellothere19 » Wed Aug 03, 2016 4:52 pm

Hi all
Sorry if I start a new thread for my questions, I couldn't really find what I was looking for :oops: trawling through the forum. The advice I got here when I applied for my PR was very helpful, so now I am here to look for info re my naturalisation.
I am an EU resident and got my PR this month, after arriving and working in UK since 2001 with no gaps in my employment.
I will be applying in sept/oct for citizenship after I have moved to a new home, but have the following questions re my application:
1.Evidence of 10 year employment: I have 9 out of the 10 P60's (I miss 2007/2008), I have however payslips for that year. Would it be better to ask my employment history from HMRC and request a copy of the missing payslip? Or one missing P60 is not a big deal? Requesting these docs might take a while to arrive (and since I'm moving I don't want anything to go missing in the post).
2. My PR is dated July 2016 but I have given the HO on my PR application proof of residence and work since 2008, so it should be clear to them that I have been here for over 6 years, and entitled to apply for citizenship. I don't want any delays/rejection in my application and wonder if it would be useful to email UKVI and request a SAR where there will be notes on my residence status. (i will need to get my ID certified by a solicitor first as per new reg)
I will of course use my local NCS to check all the docs

thank you

1)
You must provide details of all your National Insurance contributions made for your current and previous em
ployment during the past 10 years. To support this claim evidence can be in the form of payslips, P60s covering the relevant period, or a letter(s) from the employer(s) confirming you have worked for them, from the start and finish date.

2) Yes, apply via NCS who can check up on your record via HO hotline;
Yes, a SAR may offer an insight too.

Set up mail redirection anyway to catch any stray mail.

Thank you

I just activated my HMRC online account where I can see they confirm full contributions for the year where I was missing a P60
Would that print out be enough to replace the P60?
