acknowledgement letter from home office - how long?

i made an application FLR(FP) to home office:

1. on 28/07/2016
2. delivery date on 29/07/2016
3. money debited in my account on 01/08/2016
4. now no acknowledgement letter till date, and no biometric letter either

please any advise?

It's only been 5 working days since your fee was debited. I suggest you follow this timeline:

Acknowledgement letter is taking nearly 4 weeks these days, and Bio metric is taking 2 months and over, so you may need to wait a bit.
