Spouse visa extens - Mix of Employ't and Self Emplo't Income

Post by lachi » Wed Aug 10, 2016 6:01 am

Hello There,

I came here as a dependent of Tier(1) General on 1st Sept 2012, my husband was a salaried employee at that time and then in 2013 he got his ILR and then I have renewed my visa in 2014 and the visa status given to me was Partner of leave to remain. My visa is going to expire in 14 sept 2016 mean while my husband was made redundant from Jan 2016 and then he started self employment as a limited company from April 2016, from then on we both drawing minimum salaries of £672 and £1000 his and mine respectively, he is also drawing dividends from July 2016 dividend would be around £10,000 including this month. I also worked from Oct 2015 to Mar 2016 in a different co but my salary was very nominal but I have got payslips for that.

Now my question is would the home office accept employment and self employment income together while calculating £18,600 limit ? even if it can accept my husbands employment income in the last 12 months it would be more than £18,600, but in the last 6 months we can provide his self employment income only, but we may not able to provide the Company accounts and tax return as the company accounting year would be complete by Nov 2016 only.

and I am planning to submit the application in Sept 1st week in person, can anybody advise me regarding this financial requirement, it would be really help full, thanks in advance.
