Extension of Indian Visa in India for Naturalized B'Citizen

Hello people,

I am a naturalized British citizen living in India From Apr 2015. I got a visa extended from September 2015 to September 2016. I never applied for OCI due to time constraints..

Question 1 -

Its that time of the year where the expiry date is nearing at the end of this September .
I thought I will travel back before Sep 2016 but still there is some ambiguity around this. So I will better apply one.

When I last asked the case worker in India he said you can come back for an extension for an year when this expires according the conversation I had in 2015.

Please let me know if this is right. I dont want to take his word as I have to travel some distance from my place to start this process.

Question 2 -

Is there any fast track process to apply for OCI in India. The last time the case worker said there is nothing of that sort you have to wait for 3 months and the only place to apply is in the capital city. Let me know if something has changed in last 10 months where they have introduced fast Track OCI.
