flr m - financial requirements

Post by ahsanelahi » Thu Aug 11, 2016 10:55 pm

hi everyone,

I really hope someone can assist me with my query.

My spouse visa expires in October 2016. I am now looking into applying for further leave to remain.

My partner is on £20,000 pa since January 2015, prior to this she was on £18220 (she had a part time second job when we initially applied for spouse visa). She is employed FT since 2010 - salaried income which has slowly increased over the years and now is above £18600.

She has been on maternity leave between 09/09/2014 - 10/04/2014 and is now also on maternity leave (due back 10/2016).

I am also working since 2015 - my contract is 0 hours however on average i have worked 28 hours per week.

My questions:
- can we combine our income, am i correct in saying that my partners is salaried income and my non salaried? Do we come under category A?

- do we need to show that we met the financial requirement of £18600 since i arrived in the UK in early 2014? of just the last 6 months prior to date of application?

- do we combine my last 6 months income from non salaried income with my partners salaried income from the 6 months before she went on her maternity leave?

I hope i have given enough information for someone to assist me in the matter.
I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on the above.

Many thanks in advance.

As your partner is currently on mat leave you just need to rely on the income she earned in the six months prior to when that started. If there are no dependents included in the application then you do not need to combine your income to meet the requirement as your partner earns enough alone.
