BRP expires before one year fixed term job contract ends

Hi,
My wife is working on one year fixed term job contract. The actual contract start date was 01-12-2015 and end date 30-11-2016. The Cos that was issued to her mentioned the contract jobs from august 2015 to september 2016 . We came in UK on 20th November 2015. Now the BRP is expiring on 30th september which is 2 months earlier than end of job contract. please advise that what should she do now? Is there any chance of BRP extension for 2 months if employer gives some letter that confirms the actual contract ending dates? Thanx

BRP should be issued as period of CoS plus one month at the end. If the contract doesn't match the CoS there is no error in the decision. Your sponsor could have changed the start date if the CoS before the visa was issued.

The BRP itself cannot be extended and it doesn't sound like there was any error by HO when it was issued. You may have to try for an extension of leave (fee payable) and need a new CoS.
