Advice regarding Dependant Visa for my Wife

Post by veerreddykarri » Wed Aug 17, 2016 4:00 pm

Hi,

I have been granted ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) Visa on 29/07/2016 under 10 Yrs Long Residence Category. I was previously on Tier 2 General Visa (Extension). My Wife and I got married on 27/10/2012. She applied for Tier 2 Dependant Visa on 17/09/2013 and Joined me in UK on 17/10/2013. We applied and got her Tier 2 Dependant Visa extension on 22/02/2015 and it is valid until 10/02/2018.

Her immigration History in UK is as follows
1. UK Student Visa – 13/02/09 to 31/08/10
2. UK Student Visa Extension – She doesn’t have a copy of it.
3. UK Post Study Visa – 25/07/11 to 05/07/13
4. Tier 2 Dependant Visa – 17/09/13 to 02/02/15
5. Tier 2 Dependant Visa Extension – 22/02/2015 to 10/02/18

I need your advice regarding her ILR eligibility, her options and next steps. Should she be applying for FLR (M) now?

Please could you advise us on the following query.

Regards,
Veer

She needs to apply for FLR (M) as you acquired ILR through long residency. All requirements need to be met (financial, accomodation, etc...).

Your wife will qualify for long residence in her own right 28 days before her 10 year anniversary in the UK - in abut 2.5 years' time.
