Apply now or wait ? - Starting a new job

Post by britkiwi » Thu Aug 18, 2016 10:19 am

I'm almost ready to go with sending in my PR application but now I'm wondering if I should wait..

My background

I'm a German National

Arrived in UK: 2000

Have worked full time up until August 2016 and left my job as the cost of childcare is prohibitive after returning to work after being on Maternity Leave since October 2015 (Stat Maternity Pay etc has been paid)

Registered with a recruitment agency and Job Centre Plus while looking for work and have just accepted a part time position with a major UK retailer. This job is approx 24 hours a week and I start next week.

My qualifying years will be from Jan 2011 to now - August 2016 as I don't have enough documents from previous years to provide as evidence for qualifying previously.

Shall I wait for a month so I can provide at least one payslip from my new job or shall I go ahead and apply now?

Look forward to your answers!
