Saving money on application fees after appeal being allowed

Post by Inquisitive-TM » Sat Aug 20, 2016 2:22 am

Dear forummates,

Our FLR O appeal was allowed on the basis of error of law and remitted back to HO for review.

During the same time as HO will be reviewing their original decision my partner will be eligible to apply for ILR on long residence.

Now what is the advice on saving money on application fees please?

My partner wants to use the Premium Service to apply for ILR. Does he need to vary the grounds of his FLR O application to do that? Will he be refunded the fees paid for FLR O application if he pays ILR fees in full after remittance??

Can I submit new evidence, ie, my partner's ILR once he gets his, to HO during their review/reconsideration period? Or do I have to send another application as his dependant asking them to vary my visa application? Will I need to pay fees for the new application?

Thanks in advance for your inputs!

I have found this piece of info from official gov.uk website:
In all cases where the appeal has been allowed new applications, reconsiderations or re-instatement of visas should be processed as gratis.
Our appeal was allowed to limited extent, ie., it has been remitted back to the HO for reconsideration.

Our original applications were on FLR O form, can we now send ILR LR and FLR M applications withount filling up the payment section? Will our visa applications be processed as gratis (free of charge)?

Please, anyone who has experienced this situation, shed some light on the question....
