Tier 2 Salary requirement for indefinite leave to remain

Post by bbreddy » Sun Aug 21, 2016 8:38 am

I am currently on Tier 2 General and have started my Tier 2 journey from Dec 20, 2012. I want to make my application for ILR as strong as possible to meet all requirements.

So I was wondering:

(a) How long should the salary be at least £35k as per new rules? Is it ok to have it say just a month or two before the application? or should it be for at least 12 months before the application?

(b) I was out of job for 2 about months while changing jobs from my previous to current employer. I stayed here legally in the "grace period". Will this anyway affect my ILR application at all? Will I still be eligible to make ILR application in Nov, 2017?

(c) What's the earliest we can complete the 'Life in the UK' test? Is it ok to give the test say, "now"?

I will be grateful if you can advise the above and anything else that could be of help for my application.

Many thanks

I have simialr queries and based on what i heard

Even if you get it changed last month to 35k it is fine.

I also was out of job for exactly 2 months and got confirmation from UKBA it doesnt breaks continuity for ILR.

There is no due date for life in uk. i started my tier2 in october 2012 and also planning to give life in uk next month to get rid of it.
