Hi All,
I've been reading through several posts on this site and it has been very helpful so far. I just require some advice about a few points about my fiance's application.
First a little background, my fiance is from China where we met 6.5 years ago and we got enganged in this July. During the 6.5 years, she's lived in the UK for 2.5 years studying and I've lived in China for 2 years, other time spent apart in a long distance relationship. She is currently on a student visa which expires at the start of September and is going back to China at the end of this month. Once back in China we will start the process of applying for the fiance visa.
I have 4 questions about applying for the visa:
1. We currently live in a rented flat since December 2015 and the contract expires in December 2016, but we plan to extend for another year. The contract is in both our names. Before that we lived at my mum's house. My payslips and bank account are still registered with my mum's address just because I was never sure how long we would stay in this flat and didn't feel like changing all the addresses to have to change back in a year. Will it be an issue that my home address is not the address on bank accounts and payslips?
2. Because of people with children coming to the wedding from abroad we need to get married within School Holidays. I am worried that Christmas this year may be too rushed to get the visa, give notice, plan everything. I am little confused aboout how the premium service works and the timelines for that, can someone briefly explain?
3. With the 6 month fiance visa, is it multiple entry?
4. When presenting all the documents and information, how should we present them? Just stick everything in an envelope, or use a ringbinder to label everything with a contents page?
Any advice is much appreciated and I will try to my pass anything I learn onto other members of the board.
