I have applied extension stay in UK on 6th July 2016 (Documents arrived at Home office on 7th July), but haven't got my passport back. I have family emergency and have to to go back as soon as possible, then I have requested my passport return using the online form on 23rd August. It was said I would get confirmation email after I submitted the request form, however I didn't. I really don't know if they have received my request and is processing the return. I then became anxious as I have to go back home immediately. I called the number on the top, but the computer was answering the phone, rather than human, was told home office will contact me if they need further information, no options to answer my request. I finally found one person to speak to (possibly no correct department), and he told my there is no other way to deal with this, rather than waiting.
Could any one tell me if we have any other way (Phone or email or online ) to find out where is my passport?
