RLMT Query

Post by meghnad » Mon Aug 29, 2016 9:28 pm

Hi Members,

I have a query regarding RLMT for RCoS. Consider an employer offering 30 hours / week contract. The minimum salary for the job code is based on 39 hours / week contract. What should the employer advertise in the job ads?

Consider the following hypothetical scenario:
Minimum Salary for the job code (39 hours) = 32500 (X)
Pro-Rated salary for 30 hours = 25000 (Y)

Is it necessary in the ads to specify that it is a 30 hour contract with salary as 'Y'? Or will it suffice to specify 'X' as gross annual salary and specify the pro-rated salary while providing docs for the contract to the Home office? In simple words, is it required to post the RLMT with pro-rated salary as per the weekly hours?

Please help.

The question you pose is somewhat concerning:
The contract you mention is for 30 hours per week, is that because all the employees at the business only work 30 hours per week? Or is it that the role you are doing is contracted for 30 hours because that is all that is required?
I am also assuming you are not going to work for a third party on a contract basis.

As for the RLMT advert: it must be made clear the hourly rate meets the SOC requirements. So pro rata if 39 hours it would be acceptable.

Given the discussion on the RLMT and the reduced hours all this would suggest you are a pre selected candidate and your employer is trying to duck under the salary requirement. All pointing to a visa refusal
