Regarding total weekly hours 39 or 40

This is my current COS
Current CoS status: ASSIGNED
Current CoS status date: 07 July 2014
Date assigned: 07 July 2014
Expiry date (use by): 08 October 2014
Job title: Web Developer/IT Analyst
Job type: 2137 Web design and development professionals
Work dates
Start date: 08 July 2014
End date: 30 June 2017
Total weekly hours of work: 40.0
Gross salary including any allowances and guaranteed bonuses : £23000.00

I will be extending my TIER 2 VISA soon.
I read on the forum that the weekly hours must be 39.00.
So the next time when generating COS, it needs to show total weekly hours as 39 with the experienced rate which is £23,400. Is that correct?
