Hello all,
I applied for FLR(m) on the 26/7/2016 and recieved a letter from Home Office today to say my applicaton has been refused. The reason they give is that I have only been in the UK since 07/06/2015 and as a result have not provided evidence to show that I have been living together with my partner in a relationship akin to marriage or civil partnership for the 2 years prior to the date of application.
I entered the UK on the 22/08/2014 flying Perth-Abu Dhabi-Dublin-Glasgow. My passport was never checked upon arrival (I thought it strange at the time but was too excited to see my partner to question it further). Last year I went home for a short trip to visit my family and flew in and out of Edinburgh, on my return the man at customs questioned me having not used my Tier 5 Visa yet, I explained the above and he said it happened all the time, stamped my passport and that was that.
When we submitted the FLR (M) I explained in our cover letter the above, included evidence I had been in the country as requested by the form, and a letter from my partner's parents confirming I had lived in the UK from the 22/08/2014 to present.
Do we now have to appeal the decison because of this? If so, how do we go about it and what further evidence should we include to prove I have in fact been in the UK living with my partner since 22/08/2014?
