visa renewal financial requirements

Hey guys

Just looking for some advice, my wifes been granted a visa to enter the uk a few days ago, i currently am self employed so it took alot of time for me to have all the right papers to send in for a case i didnt want to rush an get stuck into the black hole of appeals so tried my best to get it right the first time an it worked, my question is when it comes renewing her visa in 2.5 years do i have to show the financial requirments for the last 2.5 years or just the year when i go to renew it? im getting different answers from diffrent ppl so i'm abit confused, i know its a bit early to worry about it but thats just me i worry about things lol, i'm currently looking to going into employement but dont want to mess it up if i need to show the requiremnt for the 2.5 years. any advice would be great thx
