The letter says that I am covered, starts from Law of April 2012 . So basically I am covered throughout till now when the application has been made in this September.

Work has to be shown to be genuine and effective; EU law and the Directive doesn't actually specify a minimum numbers of hours.
The MET test that HO uses may trigger further enquiries - it doesn't mean automatic refusal as each case has to be considered on its merits.
