Spanish residency permit for Canadian wife.

Hi all.

I am a UK citizen with a Canadian wife. My wife is currently in the UK with a 5 year ancestry visa and we were married last week. I am moving to Spain next week to work for a year as an English teacher. I have read a lot of information regarding residency permits and work permits and I am not clear. I wondered if anyone could answer my questions?

1) 2 websites have stated that my spouse can work on a residency permit because she is married to an EU citizen, is this correct?

2) Can we arrange the residency permit in country? Is it a case of going to the police station with relevant documents or do we need a family reunification visa?

3) How long does the process usually take?

4) How difficult is it to obtain a work permit if necessary?
