Made One Mistake During my Student Visa interview

Post by rikeshdangol » Mon Sep 05, 2016 4:33 pm

Hello To All Friends,

Today i had my visa interview for UK Tier 4 Student.
Everything went well but one question i gave wrong answer when interviewer asked me "when did you open your bank account?" i told him it's been 2 months but actually i opened my account 7-8 months ago it was my tongue slip and i am worried will this effect my change of getting VISA. :(

Regards,
Rikesh

It could go either way depending on the majority of the other questions. The fact that the answer you gave is plainly wrong as you must have given bank statements to prove the funds that go beyond two months.
If the ECO has doubts as to your genuine student status they will use the answer to support a refusal. If they are generally satisfied with your genuine status they will overlook it.

Hi Frontier Mole,
If they have any doubt on my account opening date they can go through the bank statement right cause everything is genuine and I am a genuine student looking forward for my study in UK i have attached my all working, study and finical documents.
The transaction on the university payment and fee collection was done with in 2 months so i told them it's been 2months in rush.

Rikesh

No. It doesn't seem relevant to your credibility as a genuine student.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

No one can give you an absolute answer. If the ECO is satisfied then you get the visa, if not you get a refusal.
As a single point of concern in isolation the wrong answer would not be enough to refuse the visa.
