Naturalisation for children born to HSMP then ILR holder

Post by mariasha » Tue Sep 06, 2016 10:27 am

Hello all and thanks in advance for your help!

I am looking to apply for British naturalisation/passports for my children born in the UK.

Child 1 born in 2008
Child 2 born in 2011

I was HSMP holder until 2009, received ILR in 2009, then UK citizenship/passport in 2014. My husband is a citizen of EU country, living in UK since 2003.

Am I correct that I need to apply via MN1 for Child 1, and just apply for passport for Child 2?

Thanks and best regards!
Marianna

You may wish to check if the child's dad had acquired PR before the 1st child's birth in 2008. If that's the case (and if he can prove it) child 1 may also be British by birth.
