Also waiting for ack email/letter, also fee already taken .... also travelling but only for four days ... Below is the section from the AN_Guide. "Country where you are applying" is mentioned, I take it this means if you applied in the UK you need to attend a UK Post Office. Perhaps you should consider re-arranging travel.
11. BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT
In accordance with the British Nationality (General) (Amendment) (2) Regulations 2014, you are required to enrol your biometric information as part of your application for naturalisation as a British citizen. If you are applying from the UK, you will need to attend at a designated post office to have your facial image and fingerprints enrolled. This information will be used to verify your identity only, and not for issuing you with a new biometric residence document. We will normally only retain your fingerprints until we have been notified by the local authority that you have attended your citizenship ceremony.
The UK government offers biometric enrolment through a number of in-house and commercial partner facilities depending on the location in the world. Once you have applied for citizenship we will send you an enrolment letter which will contain specific information about enrolling in the country where you are applying.
