My spouse will be submitting an application for FLR(M) in approximately six months from now. She is relying solely on savings (£62,500) to meet the financial requirement.
In proving that she meets the financial requirement, I understand that she will need to submit original or certified bank statements covering the six month period prior to the application. I have read that the most recent bank statement should be issued within a period of 28 days of the application.
Is this correct? If we submit statements for September, October, November, December, January and February, will this be sufficient for an application made in mid-March? Do we not need to prove that the funds remain in our joint account for early March (and therefore provide evidence that covers the full six month period prior to the date of application)?
Would the position differ if the funds had only been added to the joint account on 8th September and we apply on 9th March - would we be rejected for lack of evidence that we have held the funds for the full six months?
Thank you for any thoughts on this.
