Hi Guys,

I stay in UK with Tier 2 general visa . I got married recently i came back to UK . I am planning to bring my wife to UK on Work - Tier 2 (General) visa - General Partner, up to 3 years visa . I got confused when submitting Online application form for her . Please guide me ,If i am did something wrong.

I have registered my wife on https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk
Created new application of type

Type of visa: Work
Purpose of Application: Tier 2 General
Type of Application: Tier 2 General Partner up to 3 years

section 1 (Passport and Travel Information)

Completed with her details .

section 2(Personal details and Travel History)

Completed with her details .

Section 3(Family Details)

In spouse/Partner details filled my details such as Passport number ,nationality, first name and surname my UK living address

Is it right ???

In Father and Mother

Completed with her father and mother details

Section 4(Medical Treatment)

Completed with her details

Section 5(Maintenance)

Which area of the maintenance requirement are you applying under?

What evidence of funds have you supplied?

I am maintaining funds for 90 days in my bank account not on her account . Is above answers right?

What details i have fill in this section ? My details as i am Tier 2 General holder or My wife details ??


If i have to fill my wife details as this is her application . What details i have to fill below fields ?

How are you related to the main Applicant ?

Does the main applicant have a Certificate of Sponsorship or Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies number?


Is the main applicant living in the UK?

What permission do they have to stay in the UK?

What job/course of study is the main applicant doing in the UK?

What is the address where the main applicant works or studies?


What is the start date of the job or course


What is the end date of the job or course

You are the "Main Applicant" and your wife who is applying is the "Applicant" (this is their weird terminology)
And it is right, it can be "main applicant" (which is you) /Fiance (which of course is you!)

You fill your details...It should have been obvious since it asks for COS number etc...Just make sure that the details you provide here matches what was stated in the COS issued to you..
