Employer Applying for Tier 2 Licence

Post by Rajab » Tue Sep 13, 2016 1:42 pm

Hi,

We have applied for a Tier sponsorship license for our company and we had an officer visiting us yesterday and verified few documents and wanted to email few more documents before they given answer.

Is this common ?

What are the chance of the accepting the application ( she looked happy with what was provided) ?

How long would it take for them to reply or give a decision ?

Cheers

Raj

It is standard procedure to request documents if they are not available at the time of the visit.

The happiness or otherwise of compliance officers is meaningless in the great scheme of things. It could be everything is ok or everything is not ok happiness.
In about 60% of pre licence cases visited expect the happiness to relate to expectation that the licence will be refused. There are usually very good reasons for the selection of pre licence visits, hence the high refusal rate post visit.

The visiting officers do not actually make the decisions, their colleagues in Sheffield do that based on the report and primary / secondary evidence gathered. Expect the decision to be received in about 2-3 weeks time, earlier if the service level date is closer.

For your sake let's hope the visit was in the 40% group.
