Tier 4 switch to Tier 2 police registration (have CoS)

Post by nz6666 » Thu Sep 15, 2016 9:46 am

Hi, I just got my CoS from my company and now in the process to apply for Tier 2 visa. One of the document required is police registration.

A little bit of background: I came into UK on 2011 as Tier 4 dependant (wife is the Tier 4 student). Since then my wife finished her undergraduate (last 2 years), then postgraduate, and last phd, and extended/reapplied Tier 4 couple of times, I have extended/reapplied my Tier 4 dependant accordingly. Also we moved couple of times, every time we moved we went to a police station around our new place to register (This is required for my nationality).

This is fine. Only one thing is after we moved into current address in 2013 and registered with the police. Since then we have extended/reapplied Tier 4 and Tier 4 dependant visas in 2014 because my wife finished her postgraduate in 2013 so we got new Tier 4 and Tier 4 dependant visas from 2014 for 3 years. The problem is since we were not moving to new address so we didn't go to police station to register for the new visa. We didn't know this until recently my friend told me I should do it for visa change even we didn't move.

So, is this really a problem? What should I do then?
