MN1 s1(3) Application from Overseas

Post by billygreene » Sat Sep 17, 2016 6:10 pm

I am currently applying for ILR and my son and daughter were both born in the UK. Once I have ILR, we are planning to spend a 3-4 month sabbatical in Canada as my family has not really seen the children much since they were born. My work has already granted the time off, but we realise now that we will not have time to apply for citizenship for the children before we leave as the wait times appear to be 3-6 months for MN1 s1(3) applications.

Some questions:
- I have been checking wait times and they appear to be increasing. Is this due to Brexit? And is this likely to decline in the next 6 months?
- Can we apply for citizenship from Canada? Is there any restrictions on this?

Thanks
William

1) Without someone 'on the inside' noone knows.

2) Yes, think so.
But why not apply from UK via NCS?
