immigration and divorce

Post by yoyo23 » Mon Sep 19, 2016 10:52 am

I got married with my wife last year on the 17th of october in the UK, i was living in Italy and she made me come here in June 2016, i was a student, i dropped the school (reason of my stay in Italy to come here and i have no tie there) and i lost my right to stay there
She obtains her british citizenship on the 11th of August 2016 and now she wants to get a divorce claiming that i am not in love with her.
when we got married she changed her name by dead poll and now that she wants to get the divorce she changed back her name and has informed the Home Office about her desire to divorce me, but we still married

Will the Home Office curtail my Residency as she called to inform them about her desire to divorce me?
I want to go abroad on the 1st of October, will i be able to come back in the UK?

Thank you

What's your immigration status, EU migration route or UK domestic route (spouse visa)?
Either way, after such a short marriage, its not looking good.

What was the nationality of your wife before she became British.

It appears you may not have lived in the UK for a year yet , right?

In the circumstances, as your wife has notified the Home Office that your relationship is over, if you travel outside of the UK you may be refused re-entry.

You may have to see if you qualified in other capacity.
