A2 English & ILE VUSA Extension

Post by edmond lau » Mon Sep 19, 2016 4:00 pm

My wife will need to extend the Spouse VISA by Dec 2016, I just wonder whether she need to present the A2 English Level Test ability/certificate or not? When this requirement will actually implemented? Can she just present B1 Certificate instead as it is a higher level than A2.

Besides, she already got a job & have NHS nos already, does she need to pay the IHS Fee still for this extension of VISA? She would be staying here for 2.5 years already by Dec 2016.

She needs BRP also?

Anyone can advise me. Many thanks.

Thanks.

The A2 level English requirement is scheduled for October, but to the best of my knowledge there's been no confirmed date. However, B1 level will be fine.

Your wife will have to pay the £500 NHS surcharge. NI contributions qualify your wife for certain benefits, including the State pension.
