UK spouse Visa - financial requirement calculation

Hi All,

This is my first post and please bear with me if this seems like a silly question but I have been reading so many posts and ukba website that my mind is all frazzled now.

I am a British citizen and my husband is from South Africa. I live in UK and have been with my current employer for 3 years now. My salary is over £30,000 annually. Does that mean that I meet the financial requirement because its over 18600 or do i calculate it differently?

If you're reading a UKBA website you are accessing out of date information as the UKBA was disbanded in March 2013 due to being unfit for purpose and superseded by the UKVI.

Your calculation is correct. You are well over the required £18,600 p.a minimum income level.

phew, You have just saved me hours of unnecessary torture. I shall not look at the ukba anymore and at least i have got the answer to the financial requirement issue. thanks

You'll need to submit your most recent 6 months payslips + the corresponding 6 months bank statements. The latest must be no older than 28 days on the date you submit the application.
