PRC and Form AN

Post by AndreaF » Tue Sep 20, 2016 5:21 pm

Hi

I'm a EEC member and I wish to apply for Natualisation.
I just got my PRC and I have provided evidences for an 8 years period.
The issue date of the card is Sept 2016 tough.
I've been told I don't have to wait 1 year from the issue date of the PRC because the date when permanent residence was acquired may be different and in my case may actually be 3 years ago.
I've been told that via a SAR I would be able to find it out. I've been advised to use a new procedure called Fast track SAR. Never heard of it?
Problem is that I've spoken to 4 different people at this number 03001232253 and they are not all consistent. 3 of them said that I have to wait 1 year from the issue date of my PRC.
Can you please advise?
Cheers

Andrea

First things first:
  • drop the phone;
    walk away from the phone;
    do not call HO helpline again.
Advice is unreliable and advisors not held accountable if anyone acts on such advice.

You are correct, it sounds like you have been free from immigration time restrictions for over 12 months so even if not blessed with a British spouse no need to wait before applying to naturalise.

You can also apply via NCS;
NCS should be configured to check your details (date of acquisition of PR) on NCS::HO hotline.

Thanks! I think I'm ready to rock!
So I just walk into an NCS and they should be able to check on my behalf. I didn't know that!
So what if I don't have those 12 months? I lose the fee of NCS and I have to wait 12 months?
So worst case scenario I just walk away and come back after 12 months. Sounds fair enough.
I'll also try and see if I receive the SAR response.
Cheers

You will need to book an appointment with NCS first - then walk in.
