Immigration Health Surcharge

Post by Shondra Sharma » Wed Sep 21, 2016 2:47 am

Hi, Me and my wife on a Flr (fp) private and family life 2.5 years visa 10 years route settlement. In January 2017, applying for a extension. I am a main applicant and my wife is dependent, when I pay IHS, shall I pay together in one go and using one reference no. or We need a two reference no. for IHS, one for me and one for my wife? and If I calculate how much We have to pay, they only showing £100. But in flr (fp) guidance, said £500 for 2.5 years, that means should be £1000 for me and my wife. I don't understand why showing only £100? Could you please guide me?

You need to pay 1000 i total.

To make things straightforward, you could simply do 2 separate applications and get 2 NHS surcharge references.

Thanks obie

But When I enter details in calculate how much you need to pay for IHS? it comes £100 for me and £100 for my wife. Does IHS depends how much tax you paying for work? If good tax payers, HO give a some discount for IHS, I don't know.

How much tax you pay is not relevant.
