Leaving UK without ILR BRP

Hey everyone, just received my ILR in the UK. I have to travel soon (8 days). The BRP should arrive in 7 days. However in the slight off chance that it doesn't arrive. What will be the likely consequences considering it stated in bold letter that the home office does not recommend making travel arrangement before receiving the BRP.

Anyone with similar experiences or can find any related articles? Would love if you share them here

But why? and at what stage? If the UKBA officer questions me, I can produce the evidence of the BRP, more so the BRP Is symbolic to my immigration status. It would be ridiculas to get entry refused due to a missing BRP, while theres sigificant evidence that I own ILR.

I didn't say refused but expect stress, delay, questions.
After all why do you think BRP is issued in first place.

How is guard/IO expected to crosscheck and verify your fingerprints & etc?!
Even presenting some letter does not really prove you are you and not your cousin.

Is there someone back here who could courier the BRP to you abroad when it arrives?
