Is change of soc code allowed when filing ILR

Dear All,

A very good morning

I am currently on tier 2 general visa ( soc code 3545 ) issued last year for 5 years ( expiring in 2020 ).
My salary is currently at 27K and I was wondering if at the time of applying for ILR if i cannot reach to the salary threshold, will it be possible for me to apply for ILR in job code 2150 ( Phd level ) as my current profile is a combination of these two codes.
So do i have to be already in the new code to apply fo rthe ILR or they can allow me to apply under the new code ?? if i already have to be in the new code , does that mean I have to go for entire process of reapplying for the visa under the new code ??

Please help me, the anxiety really kills me

I would think that at the time of ILR, they will consider the SOC code you were on previously when you became eligible for ILR. In this case, if your SOC code is not a the 35000 exemption code, then I doubt you will be considered. You probably need to change the SOC code before you attempt ILR.

you will need to change soc code before u can apply for ilr if u want to show lower salary
