EEA family dependent

Post by Missadaj » Thu Sep 22, 2016 11:03 pm

I have a friend who is an EEA dependent and has lived in the country for 4 years now, her residence card is due for renew 2018 but her dad who she's dependent on has now taken his support, she wants to know her options?
Will she be affected now?
Can she still renew it after 2018 without her dad?

Many Thanks :D

She may qualify for PR next year, but evidence of dependency will be required from the time she turned 21, which will appear to be 2015, to the time of PR, which i suspect will be next year.

What is PR? And is the evidence going to be from her? Cause like I said the dad took his support which means he not going to provide her with any evidence

Well the 2 option for your friend is either she make up with her father or consider the possibility of departing from the UK after 2018.

Also if her dad takes up British citizenship does it affect her right now? Or can she still be documented until 2018?

Thanks

If her father is granted BC before she acquires PR, he can no longer be considered as her EEA sponsor.

British citizens cannot (normally) sponsor family members on EU route.
