Tier 2 General query

Post by aramani » Mon Sep 26, 2016 3:20 pm

Hi,
I am on a ICT dependent visa and applying for tier 2 general from my home country. Due to time constraints I am preparing my visa application from UK to book an appointment early next week. But there is a field which asks my departure date from UK which wouldn't allow future dates but current date. Would there be a problem if I choose current date and explain in the additional comment about my situation. Anyone faced this problem? Please advise.

Technically you are not allowed to apply from the UK hence the requirement to state your departure date. If you put a date that is inaccurate you has actually made a false statement. This potentially could lead down the route of a 10 year statutory ban for deception. I appreciate it seems overkill in the circumstances but it is there for a reason.

I suggest you do not risk so much for potentially so little.

@Frontrier mole. Thank you. I knew it would be a problem but needed a 2nd opinion. Can you also tell me whether the employer has to provide a letter for maintenance and an offer letter. Employer has certified in COS that would he would cover the maintenance but does he have to issue any sort of letter to home office or myself as an additional confirmation? For the offer letter employer said he would issue one after the entry clearance, but people submit offer letter as a supporting document even though its not required. I can at least get a conditional offer letter if it adds weightage to my application. Please confirm.

I have put the list of supporting documents for my application. Please confirm if there is anything I miss.

COS(Covers appropriate salary and skilled job level)
Maintenance- Certified in COS(Do we need a letter from employer?)
tuberculosis test results
UK Naric statement for English language proof

Resume(Optional)
Education certificates(Optional)
Offer letter(Optional)

Applications are not my strong point, so I am not best placed to answer the question as to what to include.
Can someone else pick this up please?

As for maintance letter - not required.
