Business Trips to the UK following Tier2 ICT expiration

Post by Sher71 » Tue Sep 27, 2016 10:34 am

I am currently in the UK working on a Tier 2 Intra-company transfer visa which expires on the 23rd of October. I will be transferring back the US payroll after this date, but need to wrap a some things up for a couple of weeks into November. As long as I’m not paid in the UK, and I follow the rules laid out about working here as a visitor (I’ll be here for some final meetings and knowledge transfer) will there be any negative mark which might prevent my return after a 1 year “cooling off” required by the Home Office?

Also - my roll in the UK is still needed, and my company intends to have me visit 4 to 5 times over the next year in order to maintain the project that we're working on. Will this affect the "cooling off" period. Am I able to travel to the UK as a working visitor for meetings etc and still re-apply for a Tier 2 visa following the year away?
