How long has your sponsor lived in the UK?

This question is asked on my wife's further leave to remain application - 3.9 FLR(M). I lived in the UK from birth till 2007. Then abroad until 2012, before returning to the UK.

Should I write 'since birth' or 'since 2012' here? Or, 'since birth, but lived abroad from 2007 till 2012'. I'm guessing they don't need exact dates or whereabouts.
