RCs are optional in any memberstate.Spunky wrote:I used to have residence permit.but is currently expired.i was granted ireland stamp 4 eufam residence card. But they issued me only 6 months stamp 4 eufam residence card due to they think is marriage of convenience. I complain solvit .they still try to contract irish immigration. But didn't get any responses last 4 months from solvit. I also granted schengen visa Switzerland as a family member of eu citizen last February. I also travel denmark with my wife without visa when I have family member card.but my card expired n now my wife like doing job germany but problem is I have no valid residence card.
What can I do now?
If sponsor is a qualified person then you have status.Spunky wrote:How I apply if I have no residence card?
That's clearly a question for the embassy and how it implements Schengen visas.Spunky wrote:Then why embassy reply me I need to apply from my home country rather than london coz I have no residence permit
Start here:Spunky wrote:What u think I can eligible to apply schengen visa in uk without residence permit?can u plz give me the EU free movement rules plz
There is no legal requirement that:
- The EU citizen is already (or will be) living or working in a different EU member state
The non-EU family member holds a specific immigration visa or status. It is fine for them to have a nationally issued visa or a student visa or a visitor’s visa or even implied status
The family member apply in their country of origin
