I am a British citizen by decent as is my daughter, and as such I have had to submit an MN1 application on her behalf. After several letters, and submitting all requested documentation and biometrics I have now been asked for proof of my daughter, my wife's and my proof of residence during the last three years which should be easy enough to provide with work and school letters. However, they have asked me to provide my British passport before November 3rd. I will travel for work on the 3rd October and then be back on the 12th and then travel again on the 12th November. I have been informed there is a special form I can fill to have my passport returned quickly. However, I am not allowed to submit that at the same time I send the passport and even with that it takes 10 working days to return with no guarantees. I fear this will be tight. I have phoned the Home Office and spoke to someone who said he sympathized and that maybe if I wrote to the relevant department they may allow me to send a photocopy. When I wrote to the e-mail given I was sent a standard reply and told that I will get no other reply. Has anyone had experience of this and know how I should move on it? I thank you for any help or advice.
