Recent experience on Naturalization Application

Post by CalvinKlien » Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:40 pm

Dear All,

Does anyone has any recent experience on Naturalization & return of your original passport ?

My wife is applying for her Naturalization Application on 20th Oct and we are planing to go on holidays on 1st Dec. Just wondering will we get the original passport back before the 1st Dec.

So any one has experienced, how long it took DOJ to send your original passport back ?

Thanks in advance......

The Citizenship Dept sent me the following reply to the same question:
'The original passport should be returned to the applicant once the application has been initially assessed, usually within 3/4 weeks.'
